I truly believe that a production like Discovery’s Frozen Jr. is only possible at Discovery. These kinds of shows always take a village, but our village is special. To that end, I have some thanking to do.

Thank you to the other members of the direction team: Michael Fallon, Kristin Barnett-Ford, and Shannon Kolosci. These three are true artists and have been with me on the “front lines” from day one. I could not have done it without them.

Outside rehearsals, the build, costume, painting, and props teams have put in countless hours to make this show one of the most visually stunning shows Discovery has put on. RJ, Rooster, Duncan, Kathryn, Rhiannon, and Lauren are rock stars whose work may have happened behind the scenes, but the results will be on full display!

Big thanks are due to Arturo Puzos, his crew, and the Holdcraft Center for the Performing Arts. As amazing as these kids are, this show would not have the same impact if we were performing in Discovery’s Gym.

Thanks to all of our volunteers for their various contributions this season from dismissal help, to rehearsal crowd control, to helping the build, costume, paint, and prop teams, to helping us bring the set on and off the stage several times. Even getting the kids to and from practice is a vital part of making this happen. Every job, no matter how seemingly small, makes a difference and all of that volunteer time is greatly appreciated.

I want to thank our many sponsors: businesses, individuals, and families. These shows are expensive. Between the rights to the show, building materials, venue rental, costumes, props, scripts, and much more…the dollars rack up. Our sponsors help us make this all possible.

This is my 5th and final show with Discovery and what a wild ride it has been. This program has been my favorite part of my career and I cannot imagine the last six years without it. I could go on and on about the impact these kids have had on my life, but that’s not what tonight is about. It’s about them and the tremendous amount of work they have put into the show you are about to see. So last but not least…thank you to the amazing students who put on this show.
